New Zealand's All-Round Brilliance Stuns India In Series Opener
Coming to the IND vs NZ Test at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, New Zealand put up an all-round show to clinch a famous win. After being put in to bowl first, New Zealand bowlers made full use of Bengaluru’s bowler-friendly conditions and bundled India out for just 46 runs as India registered their lowest total in a Test innings at home.
New Zealand stamped further authority over the hosts by racking up 402 runs, gaining a 356-run lead. However, India posted a commendable fightback and scored 462 runs in the third innings of the Test. However, the target of 107 runs proved too easy for New Zealand as they cruised to an eight-wicket victory in the first Test of the three-match series.
