Major Tragedy Averted At Maha Kumbh, 17 Devotees Saved From Sinking Boat
NDRF rescue workers, who were patrolling at a short distance from the spot, reached there in no time and rescued the devotees safely.

Maha Kumbh Mela: A major accident was averted at the Maha Kumbh Mela as rescuers saved 17 devotees from a sinking boat in Prayagraj. The boat went out of control and started sinking in the Ganga River and the devotees on board started screaming for help, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) said in a statement.
NDRF rescue workers, who were patrolling at a short distance from the spot, reached there in no time and rescued the devotees safely. Nine devotees were rescued safely by the NDRF while eight other devotees were rescued by the SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) and other agencies, the statement added.
Recently, a massive fire broke out between sectors 18 and 19 of the Maha Kumbh Mela. The blaze engulfed several tents, causing panic among devotees. Fire brigade teams were deployed to the site, and multiple fire engines controlled the blaze.
On Monday, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and actress Katrina Kaif took a holy bath in Sangam at the Maha Kumbh Mela. Kumar lauded the arrangements at the event.
He said he had also visited Maha Kumbh Mela in 2019 and there has been a massive improvement in the arrangements this time around. "It was an incredible experience. The management this time is outstanding, and I sincerely thank Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In 2019, there were some challenges, but this year, everything is remarkably well-organised," he said.
