WATCH: Warner gifts signed Australia jersey to Indian-origin bowler he hit at nets
Warner met Plaha at Kennington Oval ahead of their clash against Sri Lanka and was delighted to see the latter fit, standing on his feet
A few days ago, Australian opener David Warner was left visibly shaken after a horrific incident happened at the Australian training session. Indian origin fast bowler, Jaykishan Plaha collapsed to the ground after being hit on the head by a fierce drive from Warner and was stretchered to a hospital.
A week later, Warner met Plaha at Kennington Oval ahead of their clash against Sri Lanka and was delighted to see the latter fit. The Aussie presented him an autographed team jersey while the moment was captured on camera and shared on the official social media handle of Cricket World Cup.

After the incident on June 8, Plaha was taken to a London hospital where he remained for a couple of days. The doctors monitored him for delayed signs of concussion and a subsequent CT scan cleared Plaha of any major damage. Aussie skipper Aaron Finch described how his opening partner was “pretty shaken up”. But on Saturday, after seeing the man standing on his feet, Warner descended the steps from the Australian dressing room at 8:49 am on Saturday and embraced Plaha in a hug.Last week, Jaykishan Plaha was hit on the head by a David Warner drive during an Australia training session.
