Who Will Replace Jay Shah As BCCI Secretary?
With Shah's tenure at the BCCI which started in 2019 nearing its end, suspense remains over who will replace him in the Indian cricket board. However, two names who can replace him have surfaced.
Jay Shah is all set to take over as the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Before he assumes the top job, the current Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary will have to step down from this position in November. Notably, Shah was elected unopposed as the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) earlier this year.

Rohan Jaitley Remains The Frontrunner To Replace Jay Shah?
With Shah's tenure at the BCCI which started in 2019 nearing its end, there are questions regarding who will replace him in the Indian cricket board. If media reports are to be believed Rohan Jaitley remains the frontrunner to replace Shah. The same was carried in a report carried by India Today which was later taken down.
However, this is not the first time that Jaitley's name has been linked up with the BCCI Secretary post with earlier reports also claiming that the current Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) President could succeed Shah before the son of the late Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley denied any authenticity in such claims of him taking up the role.

The other name that is doing the rounds in media report including the one carried by Sports Tak suggests is that of Anil Patel, the secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA). Having said that, one would have to wait for an official confirmation from official sources before speculations over the possible successor of Shah, who will be the youngest ICC Chairman at 36 once he takes the chair, comes to an end.
Meanwhile, Roger Binny, the former India cricketer, will continue to serve as the BCCI President.
