IPL 2025 Match Fees: BCCI have taken a huge step for improving financial status of young and domestic players with their historic policy. Read below for further details.

IPL 2025 Match Fees: BCCI have announced a new 'match fees' policy for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2025 season on Saturday, as the historic move will see players earn a share of match fees for every match they feature in.

The move is seen as a big step in improving the financial status of young and domestic players, as a player can earn INR 7.5 lakh per match, and this move will act as a huge boost and motivation for aspiring cricketers.

The richest franchise league of cricket in the world have just stepped up their game yet another time, as the decision can eventually result in a player, who manages to play all league stage games (irrespective of the fact whether the team qualifies for playoffs or not) can earn in access of INR 1 crore.

"In a historic move to celebrate consistency and champion outstanding performances in the IPL, we are thrilled to introduce a match fee of INR 7.5 lakhs per game for our cricketers! A cricketer playing all league matches in a season will get Rs. 1.05 crores in addition to his contracted amount. Each franchise will allocate INR 12.60 crores as match fees for the season! This is a new era for the IPL and our players," said Jay Shah in his tweet.

Is The New 'Match Fees' Policy A Part Of Franchises' Budget Purse For Auction?

No, all the 10 IPL franchises are yet to learn their official purse amount for IPL Auction 2025, and the new policy will not be a part of that purse, and will rather be a separate amount.

As of now, no official confirmation has come up in concern with IPL Auction 2025's retention criteria and purse.
