IND vs AUS Semifinal: India and Australia will clash in the first semifinal of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on March 4 (Tuesday). Rohit Sharma’s Men in Blue dominated Group A with a perfect record of three wins from three matches, while Steve Smith’s Australia finished second in the rain-affected Group B, securing their semifinal spot with a five-wicket victory over England in their only completed game.

India registered a remarkable win in their last group-stage fixture against New Zealand where they defended their 250-run target. While batter Shreyas Iyer impressed with a 79-run knock, it was Varun Chakravarthy who grabbed a match-winning five-wicket haul to spearhead India’s victory in Dubai.

Australia will be without several key players from their ODI squad, including their renowned pace trio—Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood—as well as all-rounders Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis. However, India won’t take them lightly, especially in an ICC tournament, given that Steve Smith's side pulled off the highest successful chase in Champions Trophy history by overhauling England’s 351-run target in their opening match.
