Though it’s yet to be known who sparked this situation, as per the video doing rounds on social media, Kohli fired the opening shot.

“Bolta reh jo bolna hai, Achhi baat hai (keep on saying what you want, it's good).” To which Broad replies, “That's aggressive”.

And, then Kohli is seen quickly reminding the Englishman, "That's what you get for having a go at the youngster (Rishabh Pant)".

With a broad smile on his face, the England seamer was heard replying: "It's Test cricket man. It's aggressive. That's aggressive Virat".

Here’s the video:

Soon after this incident, Broad’s innings came to an end as Jasprit Bumrah sent him back to the dressing room.

The next day India won the match by 203 runs while Broad was fined with 15 per cent match fees for mocking Pant and also got slapped with one demerit point by ICC.

Broad was found to have breached Article 2.1.7 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batsman upon his/her dismissal during an International Match."
