WATCH VIDEO: Pacer RP Singh throws fan's mobile during Ranji Trophy final

New Delhi: Pacer Rudra Pratap Singh was captured on cameras snatching a fan’s mobile phone and throwing it away in Holkar stadium on Friday.

The incident happened during the 4th day’s play between Gujarat and Mumbai when a fan asked the cricketer for a selfie.

Singh is seen in the video standing in a boundary line and going towards the fan standing behind the fencing. The fan, apparently a kid, extended his hands through the barricades, was heard saying ‘photo please, ek selfie lelo, ab tumhe Gujarat ko support karna padega.’ (Please click a selfie of us from my phone, now you will have to support Gujarat).

An agitated Singh then grabs the smartphone and throws it behind the boundary line. Reports say this is the second instance when he displayed his anger on the ground, a day before he allegedly showed his middle finger to a fan in the stadium.

The 32-year-old speedster has represented India in 14 Tests, 58 ODIs and 10 T20Is and played a key role in India’s ICC World Twenty20 triumph in 2007 under captain MS Dhoni.

He was last seen in India colours against England in 2011 at Cardiff.
