WATCH: Shamsi bamboozles de Silva, gets 1st Test wicket in 2 years
A perfect outside off delivery was bowled to Dhanajaya de Silva which he failed to read and got bowled
After almost two years, South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi returned into the national Test squad against Sri Lanka and proved his mettle right in the Day 1 of the first Test.
Shamsi was brought into the attack in the 19th over. The Lankans were already reduced to 67/1 by then and the 28-year-old right arm spinner replaced Kagiso Rabada. After leaking just 2 runs in his first over, Shamsi came back more lethally in his next.
A perfect outside off delivery was bowled to Dhanajaya de Silva which he failed to read and got bowled on the 4th ball of the 20th over of the match.

Earlier today, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first. Dale Steyn returned in the playing after recovering from injury and joined Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander in the pace department.
South Africa got the first breakthrough in the 11th over when Rabada removed Danushka Gunathilaka on 26. It was Shamsi who struck quite soon in his spell which helped the Proteas to take two wickets before dispersing for the lunch break.
Brief scores: Sri Lanka 93/2 (Dimuth Karunaratne 37*; Tabraiz Shamsi 1-10) vs South Africa.
