England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler is yelling fire in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) in Australia. Playing for the Sydney Thunder, he is currently the top scorer of the league with 250 runs under his belt from just five innings, including 3 half-centuries.

Apart from his scintillating knocks so far in the tournament, the 28-year-old garnered limelight with his comic hit-wicket on Wednesday night against Perth Scorchers at the Sydney Showground Stadium.

After smashing his third 50 of this league, Buttler attempted a hopeful reverse-sweep on Jhye Richardson’s full slower delivery well outside off stump in the 18^th over. However, his move backfired dramatically as he lost control and ended up hitting the stumps with his willow.

While speaking about his dismissal, Buttler said, “Not the best (way to get out), I’ll probably have to work on that but I felt like it was a good option.”

Earlier, Sydney Thunder set a competitive target of 143 runs. In reply, Perth Scorchers lost the game, which turned into a nail-biting affair, by just 1 run. Callum Ferguson was adjudged the Man of the Match for his blistering 40 off 30 deliveries, including 5 fours and a six.
