Virat Kohli bags Instagram's ‘Most Engaging Star’ for 2nd year in a row

Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore may have had the worst IPL season this year, but the skipper is undoubtedly ruling the world of social media. On Thursday, Kohli bagged the award for ‘most engaging account’ on Instagram for the second time in a row. According to Instagram, the winners of these awards have exhibited a strong sense of visual storytelling abilities and built a strong community using different features on the app like feed, Live, Stories and IGTV. The RCB and Team Indian skipper has almost 38 million followers and is mostly looked upon by his followers for his fitness, which is a benchmark for all aspiring sportspersons and fitness enthusiasts. Kohli had the remarkable year 2018 which ultimately made him the lead Instagrammer from the sports fraternity. He clinched the three prestigious ICC awards– the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Cricketer of the Year, the ICC Men’s Test Player of the Year and the ICC ODI Player of the Year awards following his exceptional performances. But above all, he became the first Indian skipper ever to win a Test series Down Under.
