Twitter Goes Berserk After Suryakumar Yadav Registers His Third Consecutive Golden Duck Vs AUS

The 360-degree player is the top batter in the shortest format of the game but he is yet to prove himself in the fifty-over format.

India’s batter Suryakumar Yadav has been struggling to score runs in the 50-over format. He registered three back-to-back golden ducks in the recently passed ODI series between India and Australia.  The 360-degree player is the top batter in the shortest format of the game but he is yet to prove himself in the fifty-over format.

Mitchell Starc picked the wicket of Surya in the first ODI between India and Australia, while he was snared again by the same bowler in the second game. On Wednesday, during the third ODI, it was Ashton Agar who cleaned up the Mumbai-based batter. Twitter went berserk after Surya registered his third golden duck.

Here are the reactions:

Surya also became the sixth Indian batsman to make three back-to-back ducks in ODIs. Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah are on the list already.

Adam Zappa took 4 for 45 runs and Aston Agar picked two for 41 runs and sent away six India batters to the pavilion, conceding just 86 runs in the 20 overs between them. For India, Rohit Sharma started well but then was sent to the pavilion for 30 runs. Kohli and Rahul forged a crucial 69-run stand but could not help India win the game. As a result, Australia tharshed India by 21 runs in the third and the final ODI of the series against Australia.
