IND Vs AUS: India have 'slayed the beast' inside powerplay, as Varun Chakravarthy dismisses Australia's Travis Head to hand his side a huge advantage in the semi-final fixture of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

Travis Head, who was once again looking ruthless enough to hurt Indian fans, was sent back to the pavilion on the individual score of 39 off 33 balls, which included 5 fours and 2 sixes, as a 'Varun Chakravarthy Special' denied the Adelaide-based cricketer to notch up yet another milestone knock in an ICC knockout game vs India.

Australia defeated India in the World Test Championship 2023 Final and the ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final comprehensively, as Travis Head was the architect in both the triumphs via a scintillating ton.

Cooper Connolly Fails To Impress On CT Debut

Cooper Connolly was a last-minute replacement for the injured Matthew Short, who has now been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The all-rounder, however, failed to leave a mark in the seni-final fixture, as his innings ended without troubling the scorers.

Outdone by pace off the pitch, and movement, Cooper Connolly gave in to the temptation of hitting the width-ball towards the cover region, and ended up clipping the toe end of his bat to hand a soft dismissal.
