Suryakumar Yadav Reflects On India's Historic Win
The Indian captain was immensely proud of his side, as India thrashed South Africa by 135 runs to win the series 3-1. During the post-match presentation ceremony, he had the following to say:
"There's no secret to adapting to situations. Our plans were clear as soon as we landed in Durban. We wanted to continue the way we played on our last tour. We wanted to play with those habits and not think about the results."
"Its very difficult for me to chose from one good knock from both of them but it was amazing batting skills all three displayed. They walked the talk. There is something in the wicket after the temperature drops, we stuck to our lines and the result was in front of us."
"Winning the T20 WC gives a big boost. Especially from the situation that we won, it is difficult to express. Its always challenging to tour South Africa, win and go home. This will stay with me forever."
"The coaching staff was just sitting and enjoying the show since day 1. They told the boys to run the show and we will relax. That's what they did. Today also they told us if you want to bat first do it and put runs on the board."
