T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma & Co Leave For Australia — See Pics

The BCCI took to social media and shared pictures of the whole team heading to Australia to participate in the T20 World Cup.

The Men in blue led by Rohit Sharma left for Australia on Thursday morning for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup. After failing to make the semi-finals last year, the 2007 winners will look to win the title this year.  Just before the World Cup, the Indian team outplayed Australia and South Africa in the respective bilateral series and gained a lot of confidence.

The BCCI took to social media and shared pictures of the whole team heading to Australia to participate in the T20 World Cup.

"Picture perfect, let's do this #TeamIndia. @cricketworldcup here we come”, the BCCI captioned.

Players like Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav also posted pictures of the team leaving for Australia.

In a big setback for team India, star seamer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup squad due to a back injury. The star pacer also missed the Asia Cup 2022 due to his back problem and made a comeback in the last two T20Is against Australia.

According to a report in the Times of India (TOI), BCCI will name senior seamer Mohammed Shami, who hasn't played a single T20I since the last T20 World Cup, as the official replacement for injured Jasprit Bumrah in the T20 World Cup squad. Shami was set to make his T20 comeback for India vs Australia T20 series. However, the pacer tested positive for Coronavirus which delayed his return.
