Durham Defeated Lancashire In A High-Scoring Thriller
Durham are having a highly dull season in the T20 Blast 2024, but received a major boost for their season, after they managed to beat table-toppers Lancashire by 2 runs in an epic high-scoring thriller. In the process, the Alex Lees-led side have grabbed their third win of the season, and their first home win of the season.
Victory over ⚡️ and our first win in the Blast at home this summer. #ForTheNorth

Opting to bat first, the home side had a huge task at their disposal to put on a huge target, as Lancashire are firing on all fronts this season. South Africa's David Bedingham has been a blessing for Durham this season, as the Proteas batter has saved the blemishes of his side time and time again.
Bedingam was on the mark again in this match as well, as he scored a blistering 78 off 42 balls, and assisted Graham Clark, who scored 87 off 57 balls, to guide his side past 200. Lancashire, in response, lost early wickets but maintained the scoring rate and came agonisingly close of scripting a memorable victory, but could not do so, as 'man for the moment' Paul Coughlin defended 20 runs in the final over to guide his side to a 2-run victory.
