35-year old Fawad Alam's career is very unusual. He began his Test career opening the innings for Pakistan in 2009 against Sri Lanka. He was a youngster back then and had scored a century on Test debut. Despite that, he was dropped after just three Test matches. He was picked again in 2020 after his improved First-class performances.
Fawad Alam made his Test debut in 2009, dropped from the side after 3 Tests for 10 long years then made his return in 2020 at England, since then:

On his return against England in August 2020, Alam has scored four Test match hundreds for Pakistan. In the same period, the rest of Pak batsmen have scored four hundred combined. So, Alam's contribution to Pakistan's batting in the recent past has been a treat.
Currently, Alam is playing the second Test match against West Indies. Pakistan has a lead of 263 runs at stumps on Day 3. Pakistan is trailing in the series by 1-0 and will look to take advantage in the rain-struck 2nd Test match.
The Karachi-based batsman is looking to make the most of his remaining career.
