Need To Buy An Air Conditioner This Summer? Blinkit Says Just Order It Online. Check Netizens' Reactions HERE

The announcement was made by Blinkit's founder and CEO, Albinder Dhindsa, on social media on Saturday. For now, the initiative is available exclusively in Delhi NCR.

Quick commerce giant Blinkit, the fast-delivery arm of Zomato, has introduced a 10-minute delivery service for air conditioners (ACs) in collaboration with Lloyd, a brand owned by Havells. The announcement was made by Blinkit's founder and CEO, Albinder Dhindsa, on social media on Saturday.

In his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the CEO said, “Get Air Conditioners delivered in 10 minutes! We’ve partnered up with @MyLloydIndia to deliver their range of ACs this summer season."

For now, the initiative is available exclusively in Delhi NCR, with plans to expand to additional cities soon. “Deliveries have already started in Delhi NCR. Coming soon to other cities,” Dhindsa added. The company also assured that installation services will be provided within 24 hours of delivery.

Mixed Reactions from Customers

The announcement sparked a range of reactions online. While some users appreciated the convenience of rapid AC delivery, many raised concerns about installation delays—a frequent pain point for AC buyers.

“Great, now I can impulse buy an AC the same way I order food,” one of the users noted.

Others pointed out that while getting an AC within minutes is useful, installation remains the bigger challenge. Another user commented, "How about installation? That’s where the headache starts. If you provide fast installations too, at Nagpur, I’m buying one in April."

Blinkit’s 10-Minute Ambulance Service

This is not Blinkit’s first venture into ultra-fast services. Earlier this year, in January 2025, the company launched a 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram.

As part of its pilot program, five ambulances equipped with Basic Life Support (BLS) systems—including oxygen cylinders, stretchers, and monitoring equipment—were introduced to provide quick emergency medical assistance.

“We are taking our first step towards solving the problem of providing quick and reliable ambulance service in our cities,” Dhindsa had announced at the time.
