Bengal BJP District Chief Attacked By Party Leaders In Kolkata, Smeared With Ink
The BJP has temporarily suspended four individuals involved in the attack and has sought explanations from them.

Bengal BJP leader Anupam Bhattacharya was smeared with ink and attacked by party leaders during an event on Sunday escalating an infighting within the party's state unit over district president appointments.
Bhattacharya's supporters have organised a meeting to welcome him after he was recently elected South Kolkata Organisational District President for the second time.
However, the meeting was disrupted when a faction of Bhattacharya's rival from the same party attacked him and threw ink at him, reported India Today. The fight escalated as the two sides threw chairs at each other.
While the Bharatiya Janata Party has issued no formal statement over the incident, it has temporarily dismissed four people for the attack on Anupam Bhattacharya.
Letters have been sent to them and they have been asked to respond to it within seven days. The letter stated that if the answer is not satisfactory, it may be difficult for them to return to the squad, as per the report quoting sources within the party.
