In CSK vs RCB match, MS Dhoni became CSK's all-time leading run-scorer by surpassing Suresh Raina.

However, Dhoni's fighting knock of 30* off 16 balls wasn't enough to save CSK from a 50-run defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Chepauk on March 28.

With this innings, 43-year-old Dhoni took his tally to 4,699 runs in 236 matches for CSK (2008-2025), edging past Suresh Raina's 4,687 runs in 176 matches (2008-2021).

MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina remain CSK's top scorers, far ahead of Faf du Plessis (2,721 runs) and current CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad (2,433 runs).

Despite Dhoni's late flourish, RCB finally ended their 17-year winless streak at Chepauk with a comprehensive 50-run win.
