Delhi Capitals (DC) will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match no. 10 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on March 30 (Sunday) at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. All eyes will be on the star Indian wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul as the Delhi Capitals missed his services in their campaign opener.

KL Rahul missed DC's opening match against his former franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Vizag as he and actress Athiya Shetty were expecting their first child. The couple welcomed a baby girl on March 24 (Monday), the same day DC played LSG. Now, the question remains—will he be available for the rest of DC's IPL 2025 campaign?

A video shared by Delhi Capitals' official handle all but confirms Rahul's availability, as the franchise welcomed the star batter home. With this update, he is expected to be part of the DC squad for their clash against SRH on Sunday.

Who Might Rahul Replace In DC’s 11 vs SRH?

Rahul is expected to bat in the middle order for DC this season, meaning Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk are likely to continue as openers, with Abhishek Porel at number three. This makes Sameer Rizvi, who batted at number four in DC's opener, the most likely player to make way for Rahul.  

Additionally, DC might make a change in the pace attack if Tamil Nadu’s death-bowling specialist T Natarajan is fit. He could replace either Mohit Sharma or Mukesh Kumar, depending on Mukesh’s fitness, to face his former team SRH.
