Significance Of Ghatasthapana:
Navratri begins with Ghatasthapana, a sacred ritual marking the invocation of Goddess Durga. This year, the auspicious Muhurat for Kalash Sthapana is between 6:13 AM to 10:22 AM, with an additional Abhijit Muhurat from 12:01 PM to 12:50 PM. Performing the ritual at the right time enhances spiritual benefits and prosperity.
Essential Items For Ghatasthapana:
For the ritual, devotees should gather a red cloth, earthen pot, barley seeds, sacred water, thread (Mouli), betel nut, cardamom, clove, camphor, rice grains, coins, mango or Ashoka leaves, coconut, chunri (sacred cloth), sindoor (vermilion), flowers, garlands, and a beauty kit for Maa Durga’s adornment.
