Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced the ODI and Test squads for South Africa's multi-format series against India.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced South Africa's ODI and Test squads for the upcoming multi-format series against India on May 31 (Friday). The Proteas women will travel to India for an all-format series in June and July as part of their preparations for the T20 World Cup which will take place in Bangladesh in the month of October this year. South Africa's opening batter Tazmin Brits is poised to make an international comeback after recovering from a meniscus rupture and damaged ligament in her left knee sustained in April.
The other opening batter, Laura Wolvaardt, will be leading the Proteas side, which sees several absentees. Chloe Tryon, Lara Goodall and Ayanda Hlubi are not included in either the ODI or Test squads announced by CSA for the series, as the trio are sidelined due to injuries.
The team will gather for a pre-tour camp in Tshwane from June 4 to June 8, before travelling to India on June 8. The tour, which is part of the ICC Women's Championship for 2022-25, will commence with a three-match ODI series.
