India vs Bangladesh: Rohit Sharma & Co. Aiming For Surprise Weapon In Bowling Attack?
India vs Bangladesh: India captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir seem to be mulling over introducing a surprise weapon in the bowling attack ahead of the Chennai Test.
The Indian men's cricket team is all set to return to Test cricket action with the first Test against Bangladesh set to begin on September 19 (Thursday) at the MA Chidamarab Stadium in Chennai. The series will be cruical if India are to make their third successive World Test Championship (WTC) final.
As far as Bangladesh are concerned, India would be mindful of the fact that their opponents are coming on the back of a historic Test series win over Pakistan whom they beat 2-0. While India would start as overwhelming favourites, the Bangla Tigers are very much capable of posing a tough challenge to India.

And if a recent video is anything to go by, Rohit Sharma & Co. are not taking Bangladesh lightly and are even planning on a suprise bowling weapon for the Chennai Test. In a video shared by JioCinema on their website, it is the left-handed opener Yashasvi Jasiwal who could be seen taking his bowling very seriously.
Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja Likely Frontline Spinning Options
It is pertinent to note that Jaiswal has rolled his arms before in the nets as well but it would be interesting to see if he gets a chance with the ball in hand especially with the wicket at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai offering a bit of assistance to the spinners. With Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin all set to be the frontline spinners for this match, Jasiwal could be used if the captain feels that he needs to give one of his spinners a break or an additional spinning option just to upset the rhythm of the batters.

While there is no official confirmation on whether or not he will get to bowl, the fact that several bowlers including the likes of Rinku Singh and Suryakumar Yadav having bowler in international matches ever since Gautam Gambhir took over as the head coach, chances are that even Yashasvi could be asked to roll his over in the Chennai Test.
