Team India's camp has been running from August 23 and will conclude on August 29 (Tuesday). Rohit Sharma & Co. are likely to take a flight to Sri Lanka on August 30 ahead of the team's opening on September 2 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The Men in Blue will begin their Asia Cup 2023 campaign against Pakistan.
If both the teams proceed to the Super Fours stage of Asia Cup 2023, they will meet again in Colombo on September 10. The arch-rivals can meet again in case of an IND vs PAK final. In that scenario, the two neighbouring countries will lock horns in Colombo on September 17.
This year Asia Cup 2023 is being played in the ODI format. Last year, the tournament was played in the T20 format and India and Pakistan had met twice with India winning one game and Pakistan winning the other. Then in their meet in the T20 World Cup in Melbourne, it was India who emerged victorious.
This year too India and Pakistan will meet again in the ODI World Cup which follows the Asia Cup. Their World Cup clash is scheduled to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14.
