Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant will play for Purani Dilli in Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2024.

A brand new T20 league is set to be introduced in the Indian cricket circuit with the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) approved Delhi Premier League (DPL) scheduled to get underway later this week. The tournament features some of India's international stars apart from some of the talents that have already made a name for themselves by featuring in the the Indian Premier League (IPL). 

Stars like Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma will ply their trade for Purani Dilli in the inaugural season of DPL. Apart from the wicketkeeper-batter who was part of the India's T20 World Cup-winning side and Ishant, a veteran of over 100 Test matches, who was part of the Indian team that went on to win the ICC Champions Trophy, IPL stars like Ayush Badoni, Kuldip Yadav, Anuj Rawat and Yash Dhull will also feature in the competition.

Teams (Men's Competition)

South Delhi Superstarz, Purani Dilli 6, Central Delhi Kings, North Delhi Strikers, West Delhi Lion and East Delhi Riders are the six teams competing in the tournament.

Delhi Premier League 2024: Full Schedule (All Timings As Per Indian Standard Time)

The opening ceremony of the inaugural Delhi Premier League (DPL) is slated on August 17 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The first match of the competition will be played on August 18 with the final scheduled on September 8. There are 40 matches scheduled in the tournament- 33 of them in the men's category while 7 matches will be played in the women's competition.
