Madhya Pradesh scored 393 runs against Tamil Nadu in the first innings. Rajat Patdir missed a double century by just four runs. Patidar, who started the day with a score of 110, on day two scored 196 runs in 406 balls with 17 fours and a six. India's star off spinner R Ashwin picked up four wickets giving away 85 runs.
