'Great Man Says Goodbye': Cricketing Fraternity Pays Tribute As MSD Decides To Hang Up His Boots

Soon after MS Dhoni - the former Indian skipper and two-time World Cup winning skipper, took to social media to announce his retirement from international cricket on August 15, internet flooded with messages and posts with all sharing disappointment over the news. The Captain Cool on Saturday evening took to his Instagram profile to announce his retirement. Here's what he wrote:

Soon after Dhoni's post, nitizens took to Twitter and started sharing their grief while at the same time thanking the "greatest ODI skipper" for his contribution to the gentleman's game. Even the cricketing fraternity was left thunderstruck with Thala's retirement announcement. Though Dhoni did not mention the formats he is retiring from, but surely August 15 marks the end of a golden era in the world of cricket.
