Jonty Rhodes Posts A Heartfelt Message For Suresh Raina After Knee Surgery

Out of favour India batsman Suresh Raina on Friday underwent a knee surgery on Friday and will not be available for most part of India's upcoming domestic season. The 32-year-old southpaw is set to miss at least four to six weeks of action. One of the greatest fielders of all time, Jonty Rhodes took to twitter to post a special message for recovering Raina on Twitter after his surgery on Friday. "@ImRaina u have been an inspiration to so many with your incredible work ethic over your career, especially these last couple of years. Listen to your body now my friend - knowing u, u will want to be out training tomorrow #aramse," tweeted Jonty Rhodes. "Mr Suresh Raina underwent a knee surgery where he had been facing discomfort for the last few months. The surgery has been successful and it will require him 4-6 week of rehab for recovery," the BCCI said in a tweet. The 32-year-old southpaw last played for India in a One-Day International against England in 2018. Few months back, Rhodes had named Suresh Raina at numero uno on his list of top five picks among the modern-era fielders and stated that he has been a huge fan of the Indian left-armer. In a conversation with the International Council (ICC), Rhodes described the magnificent fielding skills of Suresh Raina and said that he is never hesitant to dive even in rough Indian conditions made him special besides the fact that he fielded well at all positions. Raina, a World Cup winner in 2011, has played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20s. He was last involved in the Indian Premier League with Chennai Super Kings.
