IPL 2020: KL Rahul Equals Kohli, Russell's Feat With Most Consecutive Half Tons Against CSK
KXIP skipper Rahul's half ton against CSK was his second in IPL 2020 and his third straight 50+ score against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
Kings Eleven Punjab (KXIP) suffered a fourth loss in their fifth game of IPL 2020 as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) trounced them by 10 wickets at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai on October 4 (Monday).
While Punjab have been on the losing end in the first two weeks of the IPL, their skipper and batting lynchpin KL Rahul has led from the front with his spectacular efforts with the willow in almost every game the franchise has played.
Rahul once again top scored with a breezy fifty (63 in 52 deliveries) to propel his team to a challenging 178-run target but the efforts went in vain as CSK chased down the target courtesy a record opening stand between Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis.
Rahul's half ton against CSK was his second off the tournament and his third straight 50+ score against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
The KXIP skipper joined the likes of Virat Kohli, David Warner and Andre Russell to hit most consecutive fifty-plus scores versus the 'Yellow Army'.
