Indian cricketers pay condolences on M Karunanidhi's demise
MK chief M Karunanidhi, 94, one of the foremost Dravidian politicians in modern times, died after waging a grim battle for life, in the hospital where he was admitted for the last 11 days. One of the most charismatic figures of Tamil Nadu politics whose public life spanned over seven decades, is survived by two wives and six children, including DMK working president and heir apparent M K Stalin and daughter Kanimozhi, a Rajya Sabha MP. The most enduring mascot of the Dravidian movement breathed his last at 6.10 p.m. today.
Several Indian cricketers including former opener Virender Sehwag, Chennai Super Kings star Suresh Raina, current India wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik and a host of others paid their tributes to DMK chief M Karunanidhi, who passed away at the age of 94.
