New Zealand Seal Test Series Win Vs India: Tom Latham's side have done the unthinkable, handing India a Test series defeat at home after 12 years. Read below for more.

New Zealand Seal Test Series Win Vs India: New Zealand Cricket touches greater heights in red-ball cricket, as the Blackcaps have sealed their first-ever Test series victory over India on Indian soil. They have achieved the feat by beating the hosts by 113 runs in the 2nd Test match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

With the win, Tom Latham's side now take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match Test series, with the last Test set to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Here's How The Day 3 Panned-Out In India Vs New Zealand 2nd Test

Day 3 began on a positive note for India, as they bundled out the remaining 5 wickets of New Zealand inside 57 runs. Washington Sundar was once again India's star bowler, as he picked up 4 wickets to register 11 wickets in this Test match. The all-rounder was well-complemented by Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, who picked up 3 and 2 wickets respectively, as the last wicket of Kiwis came via a runout.

In reply, India came with a task of not letting the spinners settle-in, and go out all guns blazing, which they did so, as Yashasvi Jaiswal looked in sublime touch.

However, it was not the day for Rohit Sharma to regain his form in red-ball cricket, as the Indian skipper once again departed for a single-digit score.

The improbable looked pretty much probable when Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were out there, but things started falling in New Zealand’s favour, when a beautiful good length delivery from Mitchell Santer got rid of the former, as he was caught in slip region by Daryl Mitchell.

The resistance of Yashasvi Jaiswal came to an end with his dismissal on 77, and was soon followed by Virat Kohli who continues his poor form and long-time struggle against spin, as he once again, fell prey to Mitchell Santner.

The middle order, too, failed to provide India with any chance of salvaging some pride or hope of winning this Test, and the inevitable (New Zealand) was just a matter of time.

Mitchell Santner picked up 6 wickets to finish the match with 13 wickets, and the last two wickets were taken by Ajaz Patel, with him dismissing Akash Deep and Ravindra Jadeja to bundle out India for 245, in their chase of 359.
