Day 3 of Ahmedabad Test was all about Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill. Both Indian batters, one the face of Indian cricket and other the 'future', batted with poise and maturity to help India reach 289 for three against Australia at the end of day's play. Gill, the young talented opener, batted for almost six hours to score 128 runs off 235 balls. Virat Kohli (59 batting off 128 balls) shut his critics with his gritty knock in Ahmedabad as the legendary Indian batter batted for over two hours to bring up his 26th Test fifty -- his fifty in Tests after a long gap of 14 months.
Batting first, Australia scored a total of 480 runs in their first innings. In reply, India are still 191 runs behind Australia's first innings total.

If IND vs AUS 4th Test in Ahmedabad ends in a draw, and New Zealand beats Sri Lanka 2-0, then the World Test Championship Final will be played between Australia and India in June at the Oval.
