India Squad For Champions Trophy 2025: Only three players from the victorious 2013 team remain in India's 2025 Champions Trophy squad.

The Indian cricket team last lifted ICC Champions Trophy in 2013, defeating England under two-time World Cup winner MS Dhoni's captaincy. Although India reached the final in 2017 under Virat Kohli, they fell short against Pakistan.

With the ICC Champions Trophy returning in 2025 and hosted by Pakistan, the Indian squad for the tournament has been announced. Notably, only three players from the victorious 2013 team remain in the lineup.

Veterans from historic 2013 triumph

Rohit Sharma (captain), Virat Kohli (former captain), and Ravindra Jadeja (all-rounder) are the only players from the 2013 winning team to feature in the 2025 squad. These experienced stars will be key in leading the Indian cricket team's efforts to reclaim the title.

Players who have retired

Eight members of the 2013 squad have retired from international cricket, including MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik, Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay, R Ashwin, Irfan Pathan, and R Vinay Kumar.

Players active but absent from 2025 Champions Trophy squad

Four players from the 2013 team are still active but have not been part of the national setup in recent years. These are Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, and Amit Mishra.

India squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill (Vice-Captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will feature eight teams, divided into two groups. Group A comprises India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B includes Afghanistan, Australia, England, and South Africa.

After an eight-year gap, the tournament is set to make its return, promising 15 thrilling matches across a span of 19 days. The competition will kick off on February 19 and culminate with the final on March 9.
