India Full Schedule At T20 World Cup 2024: The schedule for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 was announced on January 5 with the tournament opener set to be played between USA and Canada on June 1. India, who are set to lock horns against Pakistan on June 9 in New York, will play their campaign opener on June 5 against Ireland. They then then meet co-hosts USA in their third match, playing their first three matches all at the same venue. The Men in Blue will then travel to Florida for their final group-stage match.

Super 8 Stage Set To Make A Comeback This Tournament

A brand new format is being introduced for T20 World Cup 2024 with 20 teams divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the second round where the eight teams will be divided into two groups. The top two sides from each group here will proceed to play the final which is slated to be played on June 29. 

Who Will Captain India In T20 World Cup 2024?

There is expected to be more claity on who will lead India in the T20 World Cup this year as the tournament draws near. India's squad announcement for the Afghanistan T20I series should give a major hint as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have not played a T20I match since the team's defeat to England in the T20 World Cup semifinal at the Adelaide Oval in 2022. If the duo are not named in this series, it would almost be assured that the team will look at Hardik Pandya as the leader in the marquee ICC event. In case, doubts remain over Hardik's fitness, Suryakumar Yadav is the team management's backup option. India's squad for the Afghanistan series will be announced shortly.
