Virat Kohli Takes Field With Incorrect Jersey, Goes Back To Change Before Returning During IND vs PAK Clash

Talking about the match, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first against Pakistan.

India’s batting pillar Virat Kohli left the field early during the ongoing game between India and Pakistan at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. Kohli had to leave the ground as he his jersey did not match that of his teammates.

The other players donned the jerseys with the tricolor stripes while Virat's jersey consisted of three white stripes. Once Virat got to know about the discrepancy, he left the ground to change to the correct team jersey. After wearing the correct jersey, he turned to the field without making any further delay.

Talking about the match, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first against Pakistan. The likes of Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah outclassed the Pakistan batters and restricted them to just 191 in 42.5 overs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in  Ahmedabad on Saturday. This is also Pakistan's lowest total against India when it comes to the ODI World Cup after they were bundled out for 180 runs back in 1999.

Left-arm chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav also bowled well, picking up two wickets after conceding 35 runs. He removed Saud Shakeel (6) and Iftikhar Ahmed (4) in quick succession. During the innings break, Kuldeep Yadav said,” I have been enjoying the World Cup. I knew where to bowl on this pitch. Difficult wicket to bowl on to be honest, it's on the slower side. They (Pakistan) were not trying too much, so kept it wicket to wicket varying my pace.

“First seven overs we didn't give too much width, they were not trying to do much. Rizwan didn't sweep me, I was hoping to make him play a bad shot. I have been watching him (Shakeel) sweep a lot or the paddle, so I was trying to keep it wicket to wicket. Luckily I got him. Unbelievable (to play in front of a large crowd). Very excited before this game, the atmosphere was crazy. Just enjoyed bowling”, he added.

For Pakistan, skipper Babar Azam scored 50 runs while  Mohammed Rizwan scored 49 off 69 balls. No other batters managed to hold the Pakistan innings for a longer time.
