IND vs ENG, 2nd ODI, Cricket Score Live: Catch all the live updates of England vs India 2nd ODI from Lord's cricket stadium in London.

India takes on England in the 2nd ODI of the three-match ODI series. The match will be played at The Lord’s, London, on July 14, Thursday. The match will be vital for both the teams as India will be looking to seal the series with a victory, whereas England will be looking to keep the series alive by winning, and in the process, avoiding the third ODI being the dead rubber.

India won by first ODI by 10 wickets and will be heading into the match with a huge psychological and mathematical advantage. Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah were key to the victory for the two-time World champions. However, there is still no clarity over the availability of Talisman Virat Kohli as India might be playing with the same XI in the 1st ODI.

Here are some interesting and key facts:

  • India have lost the three ODI series they have played outside Asia since 2020 - New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.
  • Three ducks among the top four for England in an ODI:
  1. Roy, Bairstow and Root versus Australia in Adelaide in 2018
  2. Roy, Root and Stokes versus India at The Oval in 2022.
  • Players with 40 plus average and 100 plus strike rate in ODIs since Jan 2018 (Minimum 1500 runs) - Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy and Jos Buttler.

England skipper Jos Buttler shared his views in concern with their debacle in the first ODI.

"There was obviously a little bit in the wicket early on and I thought Jasprit Bumrah especially exposed that fantastically well. We had the big guns coming back in. They've all been in some of the best forms of their life, playing Test cricket so it proves that it wasn't easy out there, but we must look and think is there a way we can try and manage it better, try and not lose as many wickets at the start, and we've got to learn quickly," said Buttler.
