IND vs AUS WTC Final: New Zealand winning 1st Test of two-match Test series against Sri Lanka ensured that India qualifies for World Test Championship (WTC) Final for second time in a row. India didn't win the fourth and final Test in Ahmedabad as it ended in a draw after both captains agreed to call early stumps but still the hosts captured the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1, which is enough for them to ensure that they remain unmoved from second position  in WTC points table even if Sri Lanka wins second Test against New Zealand to make it 1-1.

Notably, for the first time in 20 years, India will clash against Australia in a ICC Men's event final. The last time India was up against Australia in a ICC Men's event final was way back in 2003, during the ODI World Cup Final. This is the second time India made it to the WTC Final. Under Virat Kohli's captaincy, India faced New Zealand in WTC 2021 final where Kiwis scripted a historic win at Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
