IND vs AUS Gabba Test Day 2 start timing: The third Test of the Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia is being played at the Gabba Stadium in Brisbane. Day 1 was marred by rain, with just 13.2 overs of play possible.

Australia ended the day at 28/0, with openers Nathan McSweeney and Usman Khawaja steady at the crease. To recover some of the 77 lost overs on the first day, Cricket Australia has announced an earlier start for Day 2.

Day 2 of IND vs AUS 3rd Test in Gabba will now begin at 5:20 am IST, half an hour earlier than the original schedule of 5:50 am IST.

Rain interrupted the opening session of Day 1 twice before play was completely abandoned during the 14th over of Australia's innings. For the remainder of the match, 98 overs are scheduled to be bowled each day, with play ending at 12:50 pm IST. If required, an additional half-hour may be added to complete the quota of overs.

First session: 5:20 am to 7:50 am IST
Second session: 8:30 am to 10:30 am IST
Third session: 10:50 am to 12:50 pm IST (extendable to 1:20 pm IST)

Despite the revised schedule, rain remains a major concern, with forecasts indicating potential interruptions on all four remaining days of IND vs AUS Gabba Test.

After winning the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first, taking advantage of favorable conditions. Australia's openers played cautiously, ensuring a steady start without any wickets lost. McSweeney and Khawaja will resume the innings on Day 2, hoping to build on their opening partnership.
