IND V ENG: Virat Kohli flexes his muscles in practice session
New Delhi: He was the highest scorer of 2016 across all formats, he led India to a record 18 match unbeaten streak in Test matches and has now been appointed as captain for all formats. But all this doesn’t seem to faze Virat Kohli even a little bit.
Kohli was in no mood to let the hype of leading India in ODIs as a full time captain come between his preparations. Instead, he looked more focused to make the decisive switch from whites to blues a memorable one. After all this is the format that gave him the fame which he later translated into Test match cricket.
Completely opposite to the training during Test matches, Virat Kohli was seen taking the aerial route more often than not during Friday’s training session at Pune. He rocked on the backfoot to pull; he skipped down the track to hit straight back passed the bowler, he stood tall to flick the ball - overall he gave a glimpse of what can be expected from him in the ODI series. It was as if he was practicing for the slog overs.

India would take on England in a three-match ODI series starting from January 15 and like always, all eyes will be on Virat Kohli, not only as a batsman but also as captain of the ‘Men in Blue’.
