Fans Slam Shubman Gill For Bizarre Team Selection In IND vs ZIM 3rd T20I

Some fans expressed displeasure On X (formerly Twitter) with Shubman Gill's captaincy tactics during IND vs ZIM 3rd T20I in Harare. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Gill announced that India would include T20 World Cup winners Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube and Sanju Samson in the playing 11, with Khaleel Ahmed replacing Mukesh Kumar. IPL stars Sai Sudharsan, Dhruv Jurel, and Riyan Parag were omitted from the 11.

India's playing 11 for IND vs ZIM 3rd T20I: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill(c), Abhishek Sharma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson(w), Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed.

After winning the toss, Shubman Gill said: "We will bat first. Looks like a good wicket, no moisture so that's why. We have got three World Cup winners back in the team. Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube. We are rotating our fast bowlers so Mukesh Kumar has been rested. Khaleel Ahmed is in."

In IND vs ZIM 3rd T20I, Gill's decision to field four openers and exclude Riyan Parag has sparked discussion. Parag, who managed only 2 runs in the 1st T20I and didn't bat in the 2nd, was omitted from playing 11 in 3rd T20I. Abhishek Sharma, who excelled with a century as an opener in the 2nd T20I, was moved down to number three as Gill opted to open the batting himself.
