Former India skipper MS Dhoni, who led the Indian cricket team to two world cup victories, hasn't played a single game for the national squad since the end of World cup 2019. The 38-year-old made himself unavailable for selection for ongoing home series against South Africa and now the fans have to wait for some more time to see Mahi back in action as the veteran decided to give a miss to the T20I series against Bangladesh, starting November 3. While fans and cricket pundits are divided on whether Dhoni should announce retirement or stay until next year's T20 WC, India head coach Ravi Shastri said he hasn't met Dhoni since the World Cup but "that's for him to decide" if the wicket-keeper batsman wants to come back or not. In an interview to The Hindu, Ravi Shastri said: "He will go down as one of our greatest players, very, very high up the list." "Whether he wants to come back, that's for him to decide. I have not met him after the World Cup. He has to first start playing and let's see how things go," he added. After completing his stint with the Territorial Army (106 Bn Parachute) regiment in the Kashmir Valley, Dhoni is keeping himself busy with off the field activities. Dhoni and a few other cricketers joined tennis great Leander Paes for a Charity Football match in Mumbai. Earlier, Dhoni was seen playing golf with Kedar Jadhav in US. Sporting his new look with a golf club in his hand, Dhoni was seen wearing a black bandana.
