Cricketers Who Retired In 2023: So far till August 2023, more than 10 cricketers have announced retirement from international cricket. 

The first player to retire from international cricket in 2023 was South African all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius, who announced his retirement in January 2023 to focus on various T20 leagues around the globe. Pretorius appeared in 30 T20Is, 27 ODIs and three Tests for South Africa across the three formats.

Bringing curtains down to a glorious cricketing career spanning two decades, South African batting legend Hashim Amla announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in January 2023. The prolific batter scored 18,672 runs for South Africa in 124 Tests, 181 ODIs, and 44 T20Is.

Australia's long-term white-ball captain, Aaron Finch, called time on his inspiring international career in February 2023. Captaining Australia in their first-ever ICC Men's T20 World Cup trophy was the highlight of Finch's career. He played 254 international matches for Australia across formats, playing  103 T20Is, five Tests and 146 ODIs.

Indian pacer Joginder Sharma, known for his bowling heroics in T20 World Cup 2007 Final where India defeated Pakistan to win the prestigious title, retired from all formats of cricket on February 3, 2023. The cricketer is known for his 

Team India's veteran opener Murali Vijay announced retirement from all forms of international cricket in February 2023. Vijay, who made his debut in 2008, appeared in nine T20Is, 61 Tests, 17 ODIs for the national team during his career. 

Strongly asserting that there won't be any U-turns this time, Chennai Super Kings's star Ambati Rayudu, who had already retired from international cricket, announced that his team's IPL 2023 final match in Ahmedabad against Gujarat Titans would be his last game in the tournament.

Australian all-rounder Daniel Christian, one of the most talented Australian all-rounders in T20 cricket, announced retirement from all formats of the game after Big Bash League 2023.

Bengal stalwart Manoj Tiwari decided to hang up his cricketing boots in August 2023 after representing India in both white-ball formats, featuring in 12 ODIs and 3 T20Is. 

In the fifth and final Test of Ashes 2023 Test series, England's legendary pacer Stuart Broad ended his cricketing career with 847 international wickets. His teammate Moeen Ali, who had made a comeback from retirement for Ashes 2023, finally ended his cricketing career with 3094 runs and 204 wickets in Test cricket.

Alex Hales, who played a key role in England's 2022 T20 World Cup win, surprised everyone by announcing his retirement from international cricket on 4th August. Hales retired from international cricket after playing 156 matches for England across formats.

Former Nepal captain Gyanendra Malla announced his retirement from international cricket on 4th August. He played 37 ODIs and 45 T20Is for Nepal, scoring 876 runs in ODIs and 883 runs in T20Is. Gyanendra made his international debut in 2014.
