'Avoid Posting Confidential Matter': BCCI After Virat Kohli Posts Yo-Yo Test Score On Instagram
Earlier, Kohli was elated with his yo-yo test score and shared it on his Instagram story.
Moments after Virat Kohli shared his yo-yo test score on social media, the Indian team management told its players not to share their fitness scores in the public domain. As per the report by the Indian Express, bosses of BCCI did not like it when their star player shared such confidential information. Reportedly, all the players who are taking part in the preparatory camp at Alur in Bangalore have been verbally told about the board’s decision. Earlier, Kohli was elated with his yo-yo test score and shared it on his Instagram story where he wrote, “The happiness of finishing the yo-yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 don.” The BCCI however did not find it entertaining.
“Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training but posting a score leads to breach of contract clause,” a BCCI official confirmed.
The BCCI is currently taking care of a six-day conditioning camp which began on Thursday. On the first day, players took part in a yo-yo test to evaluate themselves in terms of fitness. Earlier on Monday, the richest cricket board declared the squad for the Asia Cup 2023 where senior players like KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shreyas Iyer booked their slots in the team. All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been named Rohit’s deputy for the Asia Cup. Young players like Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna were also added to the squad.
"Shreyas Iyer is fully fit. - KL Rahul is carrying a niggle, but is expected to be fully fit by the 2-3rd match of the Asia Cup, if not by the first game. Both had long-term injuries. That is why Sanju is travelling. Two important players for us," said Agarkar.
The 2023 Asia Cup is set to take place on August 30, 2023, and the final match will take place on September 17, 2023. The tournament will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Four matches of the Asia Cup will be played in Pakistan, while the remaining nine games will be held in Sri Lanka.
