AB de Villiers takes big decision on his IPL 2019 participation
De Villiers announced his retirement on may 23, 2018, from all forms of cricket
Former South African skipper and dynamic batsman, AB de Villiers has cleared the air on his participation in the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The day when De Villiers announced his retirement, he stated that he would continue to play for the Titans. However, he didn’t speak anything about IPL. Days after his retirement from the international cricket, Mr. 360 degree has nodded to play the T20 leagues for a few more years.
“I will keep on playing IPL for a few years, and I would like to play for the Titans, and help some of the youngsters. But there are no set plans. I haven’t been able to say that for a long time. There are some offers on the table from around the world, but it will be nice to wake up and wonder what to do; to be normal,” AB was quoted by www.iol.co.za as saying.
De Villiers has been one of the crucial players of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was retained for the 11th edition of the cash-rich tournament along with Virat Kohli and Sarfraz Khan. In 2001, he was bought by the RCB and since then he has become one of the favourites.
He has a vast experience of 141 IPL matches where he has scored 3953 runs at an average of 39.53. His strike-rate of 150.93 is one of the best in the history of the tournament.
