Bangladesh Local Manager Under BCCI's Anti-Corruption Unit Scanner: Reports

Speaking to IANS, a BCCI official confirmed Bangladesh’s local manager Tapan Chaki has come under the scanner of BCCI’s anti-corruption unit (ACU) after he broke protocol

Kolkata: Bangladesh’s local manager Tapan Chaki has come under the scanner of BCCI’s anti-corruption unit (ACU) after he broke protocol. Manager Chaki used mobile phone inside team Bangladesh’s dressing room despite being warned against doing so. Speaking to IANS, a BCCI official confirmed the same and said that Chaki will now be called for a hearing. "The protocol is that the ACU officer on duty will report the matter and Chaki will be called for a hearing. If evidence is found against him, then the rest follows," the official said. Back to team India’s historic triumph, with yet another clinical win in the longer format against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens, team India attained a remarkable innings and 46 runs win against the visitors in the Day-Night Test played at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata to seal the 2-match series 2-0. The India bowlers bowled out Bangladesh for 195 runs in the second innings with Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma picking up nine wickets between them. With yet another clinical win in the format, India have made a world record as they are now the first team to win 4 consecutive tests by an innings. Under Virat Kohli, it was India's 7th successive Test victory since winning the Test against West Indies in Antigua this August. Speaking at the press conference after the match, skipper Kohli said team India's mindset has changed, as they now know that they can beat any team in the world. "I think there is still time (to compare). But we are quite excited about the way we are playing and what the challenges are. Going forward, we will play in New Zealand now. The frame of mind is to get to the next series in Test cricket. It's not like we are finished playing at home... Let's see what happens abroad. "We are waiting to play Test cricket. That mindset has changed. Now we know if we play well, we can win anywhere in the world. That's a very nice and exciting feeling to have within the changing room," Kohli said.
