New Zealand vs Australia, T20 WC Final: Huge Blow For New Zealand As Star Player Ruled Out Of Final

Devon Conway had made a significant contribution to New Zealand's victory in the semi-final match against England. He played an innings of 46 runs after Kiwis had lost 2 quick wickets for 13 runs.

New Delhi: The final match of the 2021 T20 World Cup will be played between New Zealand and Australia on Sunday, 14 November. Ahead of the mega event, Black Caps suffered a huge setback as their in-form middle-order batsman Devon Conway has been ruled out of the final match due to a hand injury.

Conway has also been ruled out of New Zealand's tour of India due to the same injury. Conway, a left-handed explosive batsman, was injured during New Zealand vs England T20 WC semi-final match.

Conway had made a significant contribution to New Zealand's victory in the semi-final match against England. He played an innings of 46 runs after New Zealand had lost two quick wickets for just 13 runs.

New Zealand cricket team's head coach Gary Stead said that Conway is very disappointed after hearing this news. In a video posted on New Zealand Cricket's official Twitter page, coach Stead said, "He is very disappointed to be out like this at this time. Devon Conway is very passionate about playing for New Zealand.  No one is more disappointed than him this time."

Significantly, New Zealand have reached the final of the T20 World Cup for the first time. On the other hand, Australia will play its second final in the history of T20 World Cup. The Yellow brigade had to face defeat in their first T20 World Cup final. This means we will get a new champion this time. New Zealand won the ICC World Test Championship title earlier this year and ended up as the runner-up in the 2019 ODI World Cup.
