India has sent its largest-ever contingent of 309 para-athletes, aiming to secure at least 100 medals in the competition. A total of 309 Indian athletes, 196 men and 113 women, will participate in various sports events in Asian Para Games 2023 event, competing in 22 sports across six days. The 2023 Asian Para Games will offer 566 gold medal opportunities spread across 22 sports, encompassing 24 distinct disciplines. Notably, India's para-athletes will compete in 17 disciplines this year. In the previous edition of Asian Para Games, four years ago in Jakarta,188 athletes had represented India.

This year, the Indian challenge is led by accomplished para-athletes such as Bhavinaben Patel, Sumit Antil, Manish Narwal, Avani Lekhara. These para-athletes will represent India in various sports and aim to bring glory to their country in the Asian Para Games 2023.
