At the press conference after Team India's loss to Sri Lanka in Asia Cup on Tuesday night, Rohit was asked about the dropped catch incident. The senior opener responded saying they don't care about what's being said on the internet.
"Arshdeep Singh was disappointed after the dropped catch, then he came back strongly in the 20th over. We don't look much into social media, there is lots of crap happening," Rohit said.
Among other cricketers, Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan too backed the young seamer.
"Under pressure, anyone can make a mistake. It's a big match and the situation was tight," Kohli said at the post-match press conference.
"I remember when I first played in the Champions Trophy. Against Pakistan, I remember I hit a very bad shot off Shahid Afridi. Till 5 am next morning, I was only staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep.
"I thought I'll never get a game again, my career is over. So it's natural to feel like this."
