Axiom-4 Mission Carrying Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla Rescheduled To June 22
The rescheduled update was confirmed by Axiom Space, the private aerospace firm behind the mission.

The much-anticipated launch of the Axiom-4 (Ax-4) mission to the International Space Station (ISS), which includes Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, has been postponed to June 22. The update was confirmed by Axiom Space, the private aerospace firm behind the mission.
"NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX are now targeting no earlier than Sunday, June 22, for launch of the fourth private astronaut mission to the International Space Station, Axiom Mission 4. The change in a targeted launch date provides NASA time to continue evaluating space station operations after recent repair work in the aft (back) most segment of the International Space Station's Zvezda service module," Axiom Space said in a statement, as per a report on PTI.
Axiom 4 Mission Launch Date
Originally scheduled to launch earlier this month from Florida, the delay is attributed to final checks and scheduling adjustments. In a social media update, Axiom Space stated, "The #Ax4 crew remains in quarantine in Florida to maintain all medical and safety protocols. The crew is in good health and high spirits and looks forward to launch!"

Axiom-4 Mission Date Rescheduled For 2nd Time
The Axiom-4 mission, initially set for launch on May 29, was postponed multiple times—to June 8, 10, and then 11—after engineers discovered a liquid oxygen leak in the Falcon 9 rocket boosters and NASA identified leaks in the aging Russian module of the International Space Station.
Last week, it was said that the mission was rescheduled to June 19. Taking to social media, Union Minister of Science and Technology Jithendra Singh said that the launch of Axiom-4 mission carrying Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla was rescheduled to June 19.
